Login to your www.plus.google.com account by providing your e-mail id & password. Then go to the settings option like the image below.

I have given the settings by the images below. You just need to follow the image settings & change your settings like the images below one after another.

Now check your email after 10 minutes then you will find that now you are free from the irritating Google Plus email notifications as it will stop to send their email notifications to your e-mail. Congratulations!
